Silver Shadow Foxes by Donna Karan

Donna Karen in back-to-business mood!

Hitchcock was what Donna Karen was thinking about for fall, with a glamorously empowering message of big-screen heroines, and enough draped décolletés, nipped waists, cleaving hips, and swathes of fur to make the head of Edith Head spin.

The color palette was resolutely pale - Donna calls it moonstone, sliver shadow, pearl, but you'll know them as shades of grey. A structured but also slightly sensual uniform for the working world, drawing on the strcter fifties silhouette that was started to emerge, with curved belted jackets and straight skirts, or strict dresses with a little softness at the neck.
