The Definition of Red by Yves Saint Laurent
I visited this amazing YSL-exhibition this Spring and was absolutely fascinated by the mass of such wonderful exhibited Yves Saint Laurent-styles. A great compliment from my side goes to the Exhibition Designer Nathalie Crinière assisted by Mathilde Le Coutour!
"Red is the fondation of make-up, it's lips and fingernails. Red is a noble color, the color of a precious stone - Rubies - as well as the color of danger, and sometimes you have to play with danger. Red is a religious color, it's the color of blood, the color of Royalty, Phaedra and so many other heroines. The red of fires and the red of Battle - Red is a Battle between Death and Life."
